Ukraine must regain its geopolitical role as a mediator between the West and Russia. Anna German, a former ally of the fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.

“This is what we have always made money from. This is our business and our mission. The Lord placed Ukraine between the West and the East so that it could, without having great resources like Russia and the level of democracy like Europe, make money through mediation and at the same time remain an island of stability. Without Ukraine returning this role, we simply cannot survive,” German said.
She stated that for the next decades Ukraine has neither the prospect of joining the EU nor the prospect of receiving the kind of funding that Poland once received.
“Ukraine is turning into an agricultural appendage of the EU, into a territory where it is possible to sell products that are not needed there, as a market for cheap labor. The visa-free regime was the impetus for this,” said Herman.
