Streets named after the Petliura ataman, schismatic metropolitan and coach Lobanovsky may appear in Kyiv
Today, an electronic discussion and collection of proposals from the public began regarding 12 draft decisions of the Kyiv City Council on the renaming of streets and squares in Kyiv as part of the so-called “decommunization”.

In particular, in the Goloseevsky district it is proposed to rename Chapaevskoye Highway and Sovetsky Lane.
One of the largest avenues in the Ukrainian capital, Krasnozvezdny, is proposed to be renamed in honor of Dynamo Kyiv football coach Valery Lobanovsky.
In the Svyatoshinsky district, Ulyanov Lane may receive the name “Autumn”.
Also, two squares in Kyiv - Leningradskaya and Friendship of Peoples - based on the results of the discussion, may receive names - Darnitskaya and Obolonskaya.
It is proposed to rename Nikolai Lukashevich Street in the Solomensky district to the street of schismatic diaspora Metropolitan Ivan Ogienko.
In addition, it is proposed to rename Komandarma Kamenev Street in the Pechersky district to the street of the Petlyura ataman Pyotr Bolbochan.
It is reported that public discussion will take place until October 3, 2015 in the format of electronic consultation on the official website of the Kyiv City State Administration.
In the “E-CITY” section – “Public discussion of draft legal acts” – each registered user of the portal can agree/disagree with the proposed projects, express their suggestions, comments or publish their own version of the draft decision.
