Actions dedicated to May 1 are taking place in the Ukrainian capital. The organizers are trade unions and the Social Democratic Party of Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Sergei Kaplin, who is considered a creature of the Ukrainian oligarchic group Firtash-Levochkin.

Как сообщает from the scene of the events, the Kiev online newspaper “Strana”, the number of participants in the procession along Khreshchatyk was about 1000 people, guarded by 200 police officers.
In front of the column were girls drummers. Many held balloons and red flags with the name of Kaplin’s party in their hands.
In one of the photographs you can see veteran of the Soviet armed forces Galina Savchenko, a regular participant in communist actions. She was holding a poster “Let peace and justice reign in Donbass, Syria and the whole world.” The Communist Party, whose activities were banned in Ukraine after the Maidan, held separate semi-legal events on this day in several districts of Kyiv.
One man stood with a poster, the inscription on which was a quote from the revolutionary “Petrel” by Maxim Gorky: “Let the storm blow stronger.” The Kiev publication calls these words “ambiguous.”
Another man was holding a poster with the inscription: “Balm 666 rules in Ukraine.”
According to him, Maidan is not over. “It continues because the people we were counting on came to power were not the same ones. Yanukovych is a small child compared to Poroshenko,” the man told Strana.
The end of the march is planned on European Square, where the Kaplino residents have equipped a stage.
It is worth noting that, speaking at the rally, Kaplin demanded the return of the death penalty and provision of nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
