Police detained three servicemen at the railway station in the capital who were transporting weapons from the ATO zone, reports the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv.

Over the past few days, officers of the line police department at the Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station three times detained military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were heading on leave from the ATO zone. Ukrainian fighters carried weapons and ammunition in bags.
Five PG-32p shells, 5 rounds of 87 caliber, two AK-5,45 magazine clips and two knives were confiscated from a 47-year-old resident of Zhitomir. A 30-year-old resident of the Kyiv region has 160 rounds of 9 mm caliber, six flares and ten flares, four explosive packages and a knife. A 35-year-old native of the Chernivtsi region was transporting two packages of 5,45 and 7,62 mm cartridges, as well as a knife. Law enforcement officers sent the seized items for examination.
Three criminal proceedings have been opened for illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives (Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of transferring materials from criminal proceedings to the military prosecutor's office is being resolved.
