The sale of metro property for debts has begun in Kyiv
The Kiev City Council intends to allow the Kiev Metro public utility company to sell 2 cars worth 12 million hryvnia to cover the debt.

This is stated in the corresponding draft decision published on the City Council website.
“Allow the Kiev Metro to be written off by selling at auction at the initial cost determined based on the results of a proper assessment of vehicles belonging to the municipal property of the city,” the draft decision says.
According to the document, it is planned to sell 2 cars manufactured in 1979-1980 worth more than 12 million hryvnia.
It is noted that the purpose of the sale is to improve the financial position of the utility company by alienating property that is not involved in its business activities.
The Kiev Metro is obliged to transfer money from the sale of cars to the city budget.
