In Kyiv, persecution began against the famous blogger Natalia Starokozhko, the head of a charitable foundation that provides assistance to residents of Donbass. The dossier on Starokozhko was posted on the notorious “Peacemaker” website, where Natalya was presented as an accomplice of the separatists. Soon, all her bank cards were blocked, not only those for which the fund’s money was collected, but also the accounts where alimony for her son was received.

“After Privatbank blocked the cards, where the money remained, I corresponded with the bank. They referred to the SBU. Then they recommended that I write a letter to “Peacemaker,” Starokozhko told PolitNavigator.

She also reported that nationalists are attacking her by phone, the number of which is also listed on “Myrotvorets”, contrary to the legislation of Ukraine.

“They call and ask if I am helping the separatists. The dumbest ones “make inquiries” - “whether I will help the army of Novorossiya,” Natalia recounted.

According to her, blocking the cards complicates the work of the fund, which operates on the territory of the DPR.

“The specificity of the fund is targeted medical assistance. Well, and medical equipment upon request. Quartz lamps for kindergartens in Donbass, etc. The main thing is that I deal with problem patients: children who require lactose-free nutrition, artificial protein; insulin, dialysis drugs,” states Starokozhko.

“By the way, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office sent me official replies that there were no claims against me and recommended that I file a lawsuit against the bank. And the SBU is still shy to answer. “Privat” is one of the most convenient banking systems in Ukraine. And for me, as a person who at any moment should be able to transfer money, pay for something, etc., this is important. But there is clearly a bad situation with banking secrecy, the safety of deposits and legality,” summed up PolitNavigator’s interlocutor.
