“This is an anti-terrorist operation, not a war. If it had been called a war, then the Boeing would not have been shot down, because civil aviation flights over the territory of hostilities would have been prohibited. But since Ukraine did not warn that it was at war, but called it an anti-terrorist operation, this was one of the reasons why the plane was shot down. Having violated the law once, and not introducing martial law a year and a half ago, Ukraine has made a number of mistakes related to this main mistake,” Laptiychuk said.
