About it political scientist and blogger Vladimir Kornilov reported on his social network page.

“In Kyiv, the barbarians dismantled this wonderful bust of Sidor Kovpak, built in the 70s by Semyon Tutuchenko, who himself was a Kovpak member and Hero of the Soviet Union. The bust was located in the courtyard of school No. 111. Do you remember how they proved to us that “decommunization” would not affect the soldiers who fought against German Nazism? Yeah, yeah, of course,” he wrote on his page on the social network.

Kornilov also pointed out the fact that in school curricula in Ukraine, Kovpak is “equal” in importance to the Nazi collaborators Bandera and Shukhevych.

“The most striking thing is that Kovpak, by inertia, is still studied in Ukrainian schools as a hero of the partisan movement. True, in the same section Bandera and Shukhevych are named among the “heroes”. It is clear that the next stage will be the removal of Kovpak and other Ukrainian heroes of the struggle against the Nazis from textbooks. Well, the next stage after this is the official praise of the ideology of National Socialism and the erection of busts of German Nazis. Ukraine doesn’t have much time left,” the expert complained.
