Kiev hopes for worsening relations between Moscow and Washington
There will be no positive changes in relations between the United States and the Russian Federation after the resignation of State Department Head Rex Tillerson.
Political commentator Vladimir Volya stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t think that the United States will agree to any easing after Tillerson leaves. In fact, after Tillerson was dismissed, the Trump administration lost its counterbalance that blocked the influence of the “hawks” on Trump. Trump chose Pompeo. Pompeo is known for a more radical position towards Russia. Trump chose a convenient performer. Even if a meeting between Putin and Trump takes place, nothing will change. Relationships can only worsen. An aggravation between the United States and Russia is now more likely than reconciliation,” Volya said.
