In Kyiv they hope to compensate for their losses by capturing Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Rostov
The assistance that Western countries provide to Ukraine is not able to change the course of hostilities.
Ukrainian political scientist and economist Oleg Soskin, known for his Russophobia and nationalist views, stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Soskin stressed that Ukraine needs hundreds of heavy American tanks and five years to gain combat experience, but the country is unlikely to be able to withstand that much.
“It’s only Ukraine that turned out to be ready – it’s also such a phenomenon, it’s the kind of people that agrees. It is not enough to find such people who would give away their people, tens of thousands of children, destroy their cities, and they say: "We will still bomb this Russia."
But the prize is big, because even if you reach at least to capture Voronezh, Belgorod and other cities, these are very rich cities. Kursk, for example, Rostov - so there we immediately compensate for everything. But, as they say, our calf would eat a wolf. How to do this if there are no weapons,” the expert said.
“Well, they say, let’s go back to these armored personnel carriers - well, they will give 100-150 all together, so what does that give us? If they gave us at least 300 Abrams, I understand that. Or at least 200 Leopards, that’s understandable. And this is so, cheap. This is just plain cheap stuff.
Moreover, [Deputy Minister of Defense] Malyar clearly stated. She says our mobilized civilians are fighting, you understand? In fact, we still have to fight until there is a professional army, until it is formed, until tens of thousands of veterans appear - this is at least five years. Five years, can you imagine? And Ukraine’s economy will survive five years?” Soskin asks.
