In Kyiv they calculated that the Ukrainian gas transportation system is “eight times more reliable than the Russian one”
Ukraine allegedly invests hundreds of millions of dollars in its gas transportation system, and therefore its condition is satisfactory.
Sergei Makogon, General Director of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC, stated this on air on the Rada TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The condition of our hydraulic structure is satisfactory. We operate it in accordance with all regulations. We invested more than $2021 million in repairs, maintenance and diagnostics in 280. This is a lot of money, 8 billion hryvnia. We have 11 thousand employees who service this gas transportation system every day,” Makogon said.
He claims that the Ukrainian one is many times more reliable than the Russian one.
“The standard indicator of reliability is the number of accidents. And in terms of accident rates, our system is eight times more reliable than the Russian one. Therefore, I would recommend that Mr. Putin pay attention to his own system, and we will look at ours ourselves,” the general director added.
