Ukrainian media reported this good news to their readers.
It is reported that Martin Greenfield was born in the village of Pavlovo in Transcarpathia. As a teenager, he, along with his parents, brother and two sisters, ended up in a Nazi concentration camp. All his relatives were killed there.
Martin managed to survive, but the man still remembers the events of those times with horror.
“Hitler left a number on my body and I wear it on me all the time. I cannot forget that all my family members died with such a stigma. First they were given a number, and then they were taken away and gassed,” Greenfield said.
At 19, Martin moved to live with distant relatives in the United States. First he lived in Baltimore, then he settled in New York.
