In Kyiv, the names of officials arrested for embezzling funds for the wall with Russia were named
The head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Nazar Kholodnitsky, announced the names of those detained yesterday who were involved in the theft of funds from the “Wall” project.

“Yesterday, as a result of searches, seven people were detained. The detainee was Alexander Tomanyuk, the head of the construction of resource support for the administration of the State Border Service of Ukraine. Tselko Vladimir, is the former head of the first separate capital construction department of the State Border Service. Maidanovich Vyacheslav, this is an officer of the production and technical department, this is the one who carried out technical supervision,” said the head of SAP.
In addition, he said that those detained were also directors of companies that were supposed to carry out the work.
“Director of Buttsetr Vityaz LLC, who carried out the work. Alexander Kashuba, director of Information Protection Agency LLC. Sergey Znachko, former deputy head of the State Enterprise “Chernigov Regional Road Road”. And one of the intermediaries, who was also the coordinator between business entities that partially carried out this work, partially did not, and officials of the State Border Service,” said the head of the SAPS.
He also noted that suspicions against the detainees would most likely be announced today.
“We will insist on detention with the possibility of bail. Regarding the amount of the deposit, our task is to ensure that the amount of damage caused is compensated. The maximum bail amount is UAH 16 million,” Kholodnitsky added.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, yesterday, August 8, NABU and SAPO detained six major officials involved in the theft of funds from the “Wall” project.
As of February 1, 2017, 600 million UAH have already been spent on the implementation of the “Wall” project. At the same time, according to the State Border Guard Service, according to the action plan for the engineering and technical arrangement of the Russian-Ukrainian border, as of January 31 of this year, 83,2 km of the barrier fence had been built.
Meanwhile, the Border Service stated that another UAH 3,4 billion is needed to complete the Wall project.
