Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, similar plans have existed since 2014 and could be implemented this year.
“An attempt to take control of the entire territory of Ukraine by taking control, first of all, of the leadership of our state. In 14, this idea was voiced during a closed meeting, where simply outright bribery was proposed and a certain amount was even discussed. There were figures about three billion dollars. It was planned to siphon two billion from Yanukovych and invest a billion, relatively speaking,” said the deputy minister.
He assures that today they will try to continue these plans through the presidential and parliamentary election campaigns.
“In order to take control of our country, it is not at all necessary to attack us with tanks, running into losses. It is enough, for example, to introduce a significant number of your supporters into the Ukrainian parliament,” Tuka said.
