Kiev does not rule out Poroshenko’s return to the presidency
There may be an early presidential campaign in Ukraine, during which Petro Poroshenko will try to retake the post of head of state.
Doctor of Political Sciences Lydia Smola stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We may very likely have an early presidential campaign, because today the challenges that the elected president faces, both political and personal, are quite large. This gives rise to certain thoughts, and I think that there is a large percentage that the next presidential campaign will be early,” Smola said.
“I think that Petro Poroshenko will try to make an effort, especially since he has the resource and influence, and Channel 5, and the Direct Channel. Whether he can - will depend solely on how much he has understood and drawn a conclusion from his mistakes - that is, surrounded by relevant specialists, and not by those who say what a person wants to hear. It all depends on how much he can change himself,” the expert believes.
