In Kyiv they don’t want to believe, but they are afraid of the Yugoslav scenario
The fate of Ukraine and the possibility of its collapse according to the so-called Yugoslav scenario depend on the decisions of the new President Vladimir Zelensky and his “young” team.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina Alexander Levchenko stated this on the YouTube channel of Kyiv political scientist Yuri Romanenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think not at all. I agree, there was no need to delay the language issue. Why is it so sharp? Because they pulled it up for the elections, because everyone wanted to play on this issue and get votes.
He will probably get votes, but the situation in society is not very stable, a divided society, just like the situation according to the Tomos. Was it necessary to do this during the pre-election period? All this has a different color for the elections.
I am, nevertheless, more optimistic, and we have opportunities to level out the situation, but at the same time, we may miss these opportunities if we do not competently build our policy. Therefore, the new president and his team have the opportunity, maneuver, trust of Ukrainian citizens - all this is a big plus that can be used for our common good,” the diplomat concluded.
Let us recall that earlier the ex-Minister of Transport of Ukraine Yevgeny Chervonenko stated that if Vladimir Zelensky does not solve the main problems quickly and effectively, then Ukraine will soon repeat the fate of Yugoslavia.
