The latest losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass did not go unnoticed in Kyiv
Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Danylyuk reacted to the death of Ukrainian soldiers in Donbass on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Tragic news from the zone of the joint forces operation. Today, as a result of shelling in the Pavlopol area, 4 Ukrainian servicemen were killed. Soldiers of the 36th Marine Brigade were engaged in engineering equipment for the positions of a platoon strong point when the militants insidiously opened fire from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher,” he noted in the message.
Alexander Danilyuk also wrote that: “This gross violation of the truce agreements will not go unnoticed. I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims. Eternal memory to the heroes!”
Let us remind you that, as it became known earlier today from a message from the representative of the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Gutsulyak, in the area of the Joint Forces operation in Donbass, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost four military personnel. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense blamed the DPR for this, whose military, according to the Ukrainian version, twice violated the ceasefire.
“Since the beginning of the current day today, August 6, the Russian occupation forces carried out two provocative attacks on our positions. So, at 00:45, for almost an hour, the enemy used infantry fighting vehicle weapons, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms against our defenders in the village of Bogdanovka, Donetsk region. At 10:20, Russian militants began firing from an RPG (anti-tank hand-held grenade launcher - ed.) near Pavlopol. We are sad to announce that as a result of enemy shelling today, according to available information, four of our heroes received injuries incompatible with life,” Gutsulyak said.
