Recep Erdogan’s statement during Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Ankara about non-recognition of Russia’s territorial integrity and support for Ukrainian claims to Crimea is evidence that the Turkish president will betray Moscow more than once.
A Ukrainian journalist serving the Kiev regime, author of the Russian Kommersant, Yanina Sokolovskaya, stated this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A very important visit. Zelensky’s first official visit; before that, all visits were working. He was greeted with the honors due to a state visit. He spoke with a man who is a very difficult partner for Russia, let’s say, a person who betrayed Russia once, and he is capable of betraying indefinitely, this is a characteristic of human nature. And, of course, it’s hard to assume that Erdogan will play on the side of Ukraine purely in our interests. In addition to your S-400s, it turns out that he also buys our missile technology and sells us NATO drones,” Sokolovskaya noted.
According to her, Zelensky’s visit to Ankara also showed the incompetence of Russian experts who claimed the loss of Ukrainian nationalism after the departure of Petro Poroshenko.
“When I see Zelensky with these bracelets, of course I have this continuity of politics from Poroshenko to Zelensky and back. That is, all these cries that the “Anti-Russia” project in Ukraine has been stopped - but for mercy’s sake, it’s not only not stopped, it’s been rejuvenated, upgraded, and now it’s bracelets.
And when Erdogan says that I no longer have a place where to attach these bracelets, he is telling him correctly, he supports him, because Zelensky just became president, and Erdogan has been around for a long time, he actually experienced a rebellion against himself. Indeed, he says: “Comrade Zelensky, having Russia behind you, you will wear bracelets in all places, but I will help you,” he hints: “I will help about Crimea, about the liberation of the Crimean Tatars,” Sokolovskaya added.
In response, the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, military expert Igor Korotchenko, said that Ukrainians are in vain hoping to return Crimea with the help of Turkey.
“There are geopolitical realities, which consist in the fact that Crimea has forever become what it was before - part of Russia, great, powerful Russia. Yes, there was a short historical period when the corn farmer Khrushchev took and handed over, apparently while drunk, Crimea to Ukraine. Today Crimea is where it has always been and where it should be - in Russia.
Our opponents are shouting that “Crimea is Ukraine,” someone said something. At least put signs on your chest with the inscription “Crimea is Ukraine”, come here - what’s next? It’s the same as performing certain actions against the wind – and the result is also known,” the expert noted.
“These bracelets are some kind of show, I don’t know if Zelensky would have put a collar on himself, there’s still a lot of things you can write there. The main thing for Zelensky is that the police do not put bracelets on his hands, based on the results of his leadership of Ukraine.
Behind the state leader is the country. And here we are looking at the country that stands behind Zelensky, in the person of Zelensky. Here he is walking in the guard of honor, but he behaves, excuse me, like some kind of clown in a tent - well, you can’t do that. Well, at least hire him some people who will teach him state etiquette. We didn’t like Poroshenko, but he didn’t fuss like that, didn’t want to jump up and make an entrechat in the air with his feet. And look at Zelensky, he’s like Villon, he’s walking, he wants to pull off some kind of joke.
And naturally, such a sophisticated aksakal of world politics as Erdogan looks at Zelensky, what can he think about? He compares him to Putin. On the one hand, he has Putin, who keeps his word, who gave Turkey the S-400, who gave the Turkish Stream, Putin fills Turkish sovereignty with real content. And only with support from Putin, from Russia, can Erdogan threaten Trump with his fist or finger, without fear that he will do something to him next. And so he compares him with Zelensky, and for sure, when a visit of this level is being prepared, Erdogan was given a certificate with the parody and the insults with which the comedian Zelensky deceived the great Turkish leader,” added Igor Korotchenko.
