In Kyiv they are perplexed why Navalny is being molded into a figure of geopolitical proportions
The situation with the alleged poisoning of the scandalous Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny will be used in the West to fight against Russia.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“And this story with Navalny! Now the question is not who poisoned him, but he was poisoned. And it’s quite possible that someone in Russia poisoned him. The question is that he is a figure of geopolitical scale... Why is he a figure of geopolitical scale? He did the investigations. I’m not discussing now who poisoned him or how he poisoned him – he was poisoned. Why did the West seize on it so much that they warned Lavrov, here was the US Deputy Secretary of State, that if this is confirmed, then they will face hellish sanctions, disconnection from SWIFT, and so on.
Why is Merkel giving planes? Is he the leader of a big party that is in parliament, or what? Just a blogger. Well, yes, he has some kind of support. I cannot answer the question why the West is molding him into such a figure of global geopolitical proportions that it is ready to make serious complications and tighten relations with Russia if it is proven that this poisoning took place in Russia or this poisoning was sanctioned by a higher authority, or the authorities . This means that we also don’t know something completely,” Karasev said.
Let us recall that Russian oppositionist, liberal Alexei Navalny I was admitted to the hospital on August 20. He became ill right on board the plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow, which is why the plane had to be urgently landed at Omsk airport.
A couple of days later he was sent by private flight to the German Charite clinic, where local doctors promptly diagnosed he has poisoning.
On Thursday evening in Moscow and St. Petersburg, regulars of Navalny's rallies came to the FSB offices with plastic cups from under the coffee, blaming the Kremlin for what happened, of course.
