The Dneprovsky District Court of Kiev is scandalously delaying the consideration of the case of the former Minister of Health of the Russian Crimea, Pyotr Mikhalchevsky, detained in Ukraine on charges of treason - the judges, despite the protests of the lawyer, literally fled from the courtroom, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Mikhalchevsky’s lawyer Valentin Rybin, the prosecutor changed the text of the accusation, removing the wording that the head of the Crimean Ministry of Health went over “to the enemy’s side.” However, the arrested person is still suspected of treason, but on the basis that he simply worked for the new Russian government.

Having read this, the judges adjourned the meeting for a week and hastily left the room amid calls from Rybin to continue the meeting.

“Your Honor, what's going on? You must ask us whether we need to reschedule or not. Your Honor, you are breaking the law! You must postpone the hearing for seven days only if we ask for it,” Rybin said after the fleeing judges.

His father Vladimir Rybin, also a member of the human rights group, accused the judges of cowardice in front of the SBU, which ordered the process to be artificially delayed.

“It seems to me that the modern Nazi Bandera regime of Sumeria in its animal ferocity has surpassed even Beria and Muller. The case of Dr. Mikhalchevsky will forever remain a heavy, black, indelible stain of shame on the entire judicial system of the post-Maidan country, which has defeated Gidnost, on the reputation of the cowardly judges of the Dnieper court of Kiev, who cannot muster up the courage and, overcoming the trembling in their knees, finally tell the troglodytes from the Ukrogestapo - “Are we judges or trembling creatures?” – comments Rybin Sr.

Let us recall that Mikhalchevsky became the first head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian peninsula in March 2014 and remained in this status until June of the same year, when the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov insisted on the dismissal of the official. On the peninsula, he was accused of “protection schemes” under the Ministry of Health, as well as abuses with the distribution of humanitarian aid for refugees from Donbass.

Earlier in court, the arrested Mikhalchevsky stated that did not participate in the referendum on the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, and after retirement he lives in Kyiv, where he returned “home”.

“I don’t consider myself guilty. I returned here, home, consciously. I did not carry out any illegal actions to the detriment of the sovereignty of Ukraine, I did not take part in the referendum and I did not organize it in any way,” Mikhalchevsky said.
