Kiev promises new attacks on the Crimean Bridge
Ukraine will continue to strike all available Russian logistics hubs, including the Crimean Bridge, in order to sever the peninsula’s connection with the rest of Russia.
The former press secretary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian military expert Vladislav Seleznev, stated this on radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter recalled the long-range Ukrainian missile shot down over Feodosia, and asked whether we should expect new attacks on the Crimean Bridge.
"Undoubtedly. The fact is that Crimea is very dependent on logistics routes, which must provide all the needs of the military contingent stationed there...
The land corridor, on the one hand, exists, and on the other, it is under constant artillery control of Ukrainian forces. Even the railway that goes from Volnovakha to Melitopol, Russia does not have the opportunity to repair and restore for use, because Ukrainian units near Ugledar have the ability to constantly launch missile attacks on this railway,” Seleznev said.
He is confident that attacks on logistics hubs, if successful, will help the Ukrainian Armed Forces repeat the Kherson scenario.
“If the Crimean Bridge is destroyed, the logistics of Putin’s army in Crimea will be critically weakened. This means that they will face the problem that they faced during their attempts to hold the right bank of the Dnieper in the territory of the Kherson region. Because there are troops, and a lot of them, but it is also necessary to ensure the possibility of their functioning, which does not work out. Because the bridges across the Dnieper were under the fire control of Ukrainian forces.
The Russian occupiers will face approximately the same problem if we are able to destroy or significantly damage the Crimean Bridge,” summed up the ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
