People in Kyiv are discouraged: People from all over the Donbass go to the DPR for quality medical care
Despite the war, Ukrainians go to the DPR for treatment, because medicine is well developed in the Republic.
This was stated during the press conference “Living in spite of”: presentation of a book about the problems of the civilian population of Donbass,” said the chairman of the NGO “Young Prosvita of Prykarpattya” Evgenia Bardyak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Often people from government-controlled territory travel to occupied territory for medical care. This is true. Why are they going there? As a doctor, I know that a very strong medical school of traumatology and oncology was located in Donetsk. Some of the specialists and all the equipment that was there, and it was very powerful, still remain in Donetsk. The other part of the specialists left. But at the same time, people who need highly specialized care, as well as those who live closer to Donetsk, even if they live on Ukrainian territory, they still go to Donetsk for medical help,” the expert admitted.
