Kiev screwed up the investigation into Sheremet's murder, but Putin is still to blame
The failure of the investigation by Ukrainian security forces into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet in the center of Kyiv is the result of the intrigues of the Russian special services, who skillfully hid their tracks and are now making fun of the narrow-minded Ukrainians.
The former head of the presidential secretariat during the time of Viktor Yushchenko, Oleg Rybachuk, stated this on channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that there could be some figures interested in preventing Sheremet from continuing his journalistic work, but are these such influential figures that they can influence the fact that the murder is not investigated, so that at least the perpetrators are found?” – the presenter asked the studio guest.
“Sheremet was elected, I don’t know where he could have gone in his investigations, but something tells me that it couldn’t have been so dangerous. It seems to me that it was a multi-purpose missile, when in the center of Kyiv there was a significant failure, a loss. Remember, after this there was a demonstrative murder of a former Russian deputy, then another demonstrative murder - and all this was simply demonstrative by the Russian special services on our territory in the city center,” Rybachuk said.
“But we need evidence,” the presenter noted.
“We strive, but we cannot prove it! They simply laugh in our eyes and say: “Well, you see the Russian trace everywhere,” laments Yushchenko’s ex-comrade.
