Kiev accused the European Union of humiliating Ukraine
The Netherlands' refusal to ratify its association agreement with Ukraine, which forced the former Soviet republic to make such sacrifices, is a humiliation to say the least, said former Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Seminozhenko.

“Mark Rutte hammered the final nail into the prospects of our European association. That is, there will be no EU membership, Ukraine has accepted the unfavorable terms of the economic part of the Agreement, and Ukrainians will not even be able to work in the EU. What people stood for on the Maidan is essentially neutralized by the statement of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
The question arises: is the price that Ukraine has already paid for Association with the EU too high? At a minimum, this is a humiliation for the country.
I think that now the wisest decision is to admit that a mistake was made, both politically and economically. Leave all Euro-illusions as unproductive and build your own economic policy in your own interests,” Seminozhenko said.
