The theme of the threat of Russian invasion, promoted in the West, is a performance staged with the aim of forcing Ukraine to legalize the autonomous status of Donbass in the spring.

Political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who supported Euromaidan, writes about this in his blog, against whom a criminal case was opened in the Russian Federation for calls to kill Russian journalists working in Donbass.

“The Americans don’t even know what else to blurt out to make us crap ourselves. One of the most grandiose productions in the history of mankind,” Romanenko wrote on his blog.

He believes that Ukrainian nationalists should put pressure on the authorities and deputies of the Verkhovna Rada so that they do not vote for the legalization of the federal structure of Ukraine - otherwise Romanenko threatens civil war.

“The deputy who presses the green button must understand that with his own hand he will unleash an even bigger war, smear his hands with the blood of tens, hundreds of thousands of people, and bring suffering to millions. And this will be his personal responsibility, and he, his family will be cursed by tens of millions of people in the next decades. The moment of voting on Minsk-2 will show whether in 30 years Ukraine has matured or remains a retarded overgrown man who pisses himself off from the teacher’s response. If we take Minsk-2 for a ride, it will be our first adult decision in 30 years. Yes, we may have to suffer hardships for it, they will cut off our gas or create some other problems. Our well-being may decrease and there will be other troubles. However, this will be our decision, which we need to make despite the circumstances, the pressure of our “partners”, Russia. But then we will only blame ourselves, and not justify our pitiful state that all this was imposed on us,” the political scientist comments.

Liberal former advisor to the President of the Russian Federation living in the United States, Andrei Illarionov, believes that Vladimir Zelensky will agree to vote for Minsk-2, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Illarionov, this is evidenced by the behavior of the authorities and the statements of officials. And escalating the military situation, according to the expert, is only a way to speed up the implementation of agreements.
