This was reported by the NBU press service.

“Sanctions for a period of one year will be applied to Sberbank OJSC, Vieste Bank OJSC, Joint Stock Commercial Industrial Investment Bank PJSC, VTB Bank OJSC, BM BANK PJSC in terms of preventing the withdrawal of capital by these legal entities for borders of Ukraine in favor of persons associated with them,” the National Bank said in a statement.

Let us recall that, as PolitNavigator previously reported, Petro Poroshenko put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated March 15, 2017 “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” on a number of legal entities. The decision of the National Security and Defense Council was made in accordance with Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” and taking into account the proposals of the National Bank of Ukraine.
