In Kyiv they woke up: Russia will bring us to our knees with cruise missiles alone
Russia can force Ukraine to fulfill its demands even without establishing full control over the country - to do this, it is enough to destroy important infrastructure facilities, leaving Ukraine without transport logistics and electricity.
Military expert Taras Chmut stated this on air on the Skrypin Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chmut, Russia can launch cruise missile strikes and take full control of Ukrainian airspace.
“If you start talking and sorting it out by type, type, structure - Ministry of Internal Affairs, Armed Forces of Ukraine, Main Intelligence Directorate, State Border Guard Service and so on, it turns out that we did a lot of things, but did not prepare for a full-scale war and confrontation with Russia. And, damn it, this is a problem - it doesn’t matter what Putin wants to do or doesn’t want to do, ORDLO and so on. It is important how prepared we are for this, how ready we are to take the blow and give answers.
We are not ready for confrontation. We don’t have aviation, nothing has changed about that, air defense hasn’t changed, nothing has changed in the navy. We increased the group of Ground Forces, dressed the army in new uniforms, fed them new food, gave them new personal protective equipment, first aid kits, and something else, but we did not close the global strategic areas of defense capability.
This is missile defense, air defense, and the security of the sea and trade routes. That is, it doesn’t matter what kind of tanks we have or how many thermal imagers we have in our troops, when the enemy has complete control of the airspace or uses cruise missiles to destroy the main infrastructure facilities in terms of power plants and cut off power to half the country, transport hubs, bridges and block the economy.
It is not necessary to occupy Ukraine for us to follow the Russian position and accept it. It is enough to put us in such conditions when it will be like this. And, damn, this is a problem,” Chmut summed up.
