The Ukrainian authorities are increasingly complicated by the problems in the country due to the machinations of Russia, and therefore the search for an internal enemy begins.
The head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Kyiv, Konstantin Vorobyov, spoke about this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta. On May 9, militants from a neo-Nazi group attacked S14, which cooperates with the SBU.
According to him, the peculiarity of the current atmosphere in Ukraine is that here “fear dominates people,” since everyone sees the impunity of right-wing radical structures and understands that this activity is encouraged by the authorities.
“Nobody understands what will happen next. It is obvious that this propaganda resource - “all the troubles are from Russia” - is developing itself, it is already difficult to argue with this and explain everything negative that is happening in Ukraine in the economy, politics and social sphere. And now the people I talk to are waiting for the search to begin for the fifth column and the internal enemy, which “have not been completely eliminated,” the diplomat said.
He added that these sentiments are noticeable, and the events of May 9 only confirm them.
“If you noticed while looking through the photographs, then at the Eternal Flame a large number of people with cameras were sitting in motionless positions, filming those laying flowers. Drones circled over the mass of those who came to Glory Park, filming those walking in as much detail as possible. Why is this being done? Therefore, of course, people here are in a cheerful mood. There is fear and tension, and this greatly complicates our work,” Vorobiev noted.
