The “honeymoon” of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is over, and he is faced with a harsh reality: popular discontent is growing, and the country is on the verge of a severe worsening crisis.

The famous Ukrainian composer Vladimir Bystryakov stated this on the InterVizor YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Our assessments and judgments become sharper and more specific. A large part of the flair and bouquet and candy period, which were associated with the expectation that new faces will come and something will change, has gone, less and less every day.

On the one hand, people are slowly falling into autumn depression, which will be greatly reinforced by upcoming receipts for housing and communal services. On the other hand, when such a large country, which voted in such a way, falls into such depression, this is not a good sign, because adventurers can take advantage of this. I think that those people who were thrown out of their chairs are also not asleep and gather groups based on their interests. The opposition is the same,” Bystryakov noted.

He emphasized that Kiev faces a choice: continue to develop relations with the West or turn back to Russia.

“In my opinion, we have only two options: either bow to the IMF and the States and weakly expect that we will have a Polish option, when all their debts were forgiven, or turn towards Russia and restore everything that was. There is no third.

Agitate towards Russia, and all these Svidomo opponents begin to work in clichés: “Vatnik, Putin’s agent, his paternal nephew” and so on. That is, they are still screaming. Unfortunately, we have this loud market tone, which we have had since about 2005, which prevails in any disputes, because they simply took it to the throat, as activists in balaclavas do - to shout down, pour green paint, swing a club. This style prevailed,” the composer added.

However, in his opinion, the only reasonable option for Ukraine is to restore good neighborly relations with Russia.

“What will we have now? Who to contact? There is no one else to go to. The neck of our own toilet has narrowed to these two options: either America - now we’ll stick our heads in for another 5-10 billion, but we’ll have to give them away. Or Russia, which proposed to restore both industry and the defense industry.

Now, sitting in America's ass, are we going to talk about slavery with Russia? We have already heard, when Yanukovych concluded the Kharkov agreements with the Russian Federation, these loudmouths also shouted that we are in slavery to Russia. When gas was $50, they also shouted: “Not a step back, it’s Russia that is luring us.” Everything was fine there. And it was enough for Putin that he had good neighborly relations with good neighborly Ukraine at hand. All this was destroyed, but where now? Do you have any option? I don’t see,” Bystryakov concluded.
