Kiev realized that Macron had imposed a bad deal on Ukraine
The result of French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Kyiv was the purchase of French equipment with money that was allocated to Ukraine on credit, although Ukrainian enterprises are underutilized.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev, head of the Sofia strategic group, stated this on air on the UkrLive channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, a policy of so-called modernization loans is possible. But this has nothing to do with the commodity loans that we receive when we load someone else’s commodity producer, getting into debt and putting our own producer on the shoulder, and at the same time bragging to voters that another locomotive will appear,” the expert noted.
“Macron has solved his problems; after the failures with submarines, he needs to scatter more of these locomotives. Well, Ukraine is again applauding yet another expensive import, although we need to pay our enterprises. The Kryukovsky plant is lying down, and most of the enterprises that could be contractors are also lying down. NIt’s difficult for us to admit that a huge part of our society, our politicians, behave like temporary workers,” Ermolaev said.
