Kiev realized that the West was prolonging the war, turning Ukraine into a testing ground
The West views Ukraine as a testing ground for its weapons, prolonging the war.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, former head of the parliamentary committee on international affairs Anna Gopko stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gopko, this is why NATO countries are in no hurry to supply the necessary weapons to Ukraine.
“You understand that there is a global interest among weapons manufacturers in testing their modern models. And Ukraine is seen here as a certain testing ground for them. But for us the scenario of a protracted war, when they say: “We will ask Congress for more money, we are ready for a protracted war”...
I say: “Stop, wait. It's been nine years of war. For Ukraine, it is not that protracted, therefore we are interested in quickly receiving all the necessary weapons, recapturing all territories in the second phase of the war, regaining control over the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, and unblocking the Black Sea,” Gopko said.
