In Kyiv they realized: Ukraine will suffer from new US sanctions against Russia
New US sanctions against Russia are the threshold of a major trade war between America and the European Union; Ukraine will also suffer from the conflict, since Washington is not interested in the continued transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory.
Dmitry Marunich, co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund, announced this broadcast on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ukraine was not even close to this. But he might get hurt. It is in Europe's interests for gas to flow through Ukraine. The European Commission speaks directly to Ukrainian officials about this during negotiations.
But this is not in the interests of the United States. The US has its own game, they want to increase energy prices, which will improve production within the US and, possibly, expand their position in the European market. Plus will improve the economics of liquefied gas sales to certain regions of the world.
It looks like we can get into trouble here, because the US doesn’t need our gas transportation system; on the contrary, they are interested in things not developing much here, but also in not building the Nord Stream and Turkish Stream. This is an ideal situation. This is the logic of imposing sanctions, not chatter.
Europe has a completely different interest. Europe needs stable transit through Ukraine, they are even ready to give money,” Marunich said.
