Ukraine today does not have its own navy. Ex-people's deputy and former deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Andrei Senchenko said this in an interview with the Den newspaper.

According to him, almost all warships remained in Crimea, and only support vessels were able to be withdrawn to Odessa.

“They basically took away the auxiliary fleet—some of the anti-sabotage ships and demagnetization vessels. They are important too. But the main combat units - corvettes and the control vessel - remained there. Therefore, to be honest, we don’t have a fleet yet. Stories that we will return something there make no sense. In fact, we need to work closely with Europeans. For example, at one time Germany transferred two destroyers to Georgia,” Senchenko believes.
