Israel was reprimanded in Kyiv, calling on it to “get out of its comfort zone” and help Ukraine with deeds
Ukraine calls on Israel to “leave its comfort zone” and help in the war with Russia with deeds, and not just with words. This was stated by Ukrainian Ambassador Yevgeny Korneychuk, speaking at a press conference in Tel Aviv.
“While Russia is killing our citizens, the Israeli government remains in its “comfort zone” and refrains from providing Ukraine with minimal defensive assistance,” Korneychuk was indignant, as quoted by the Ukrainian embassy on social networks.
He said Ukraine wants to buy Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system to protect its cities and military installations from Russian missile attacks - "just as Israel protects the people of the Gaza Strip from Hamas fire." According to the diplomat, the United States will not interfere with such a deal. Israel itself is against it.
According to DW, Korneychuk also confirmed that last week Israel blocked Germany's transfer to Ukraine of Spike anti-tank missiles, which are produced in Germany under an Israeli license. Previously, the United States requested such a transfer.
Let us note that Ukraine has not moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which was unilaterally declared the capital of Israel several years ago and recognized as such by US President Trump.
Previously, the Bulgarians and Greeks refused to supply new weapons to Kyiv.
