Kyiv, September 12 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – An exhibition of a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Nikolai Likhoshva “From Taras Shevchenko to the present” opened in the art gallery “Mitec”.
Nikolai Likhoshva is a distant relative (great-great-grandson through his brother Nikola) of the symbol of Ukrainian culture, and his paintings are dedicated to Shevchenko motifs.

At the exhibition you can see paintings on historical themes, including those dedicated to modern events - the Orange Revolution.
The exhibition was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Kobzar and the 80th anniversary of the artist. Speaking on behalf of the Forum of military officers who are fighting in the ATO zone, the ex-head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Army General of Ukraine Nikolai Malomuzh noted the patriotism of the Cossack and Shevchenko themes in the artist’s work and the fact that it inspires ATO fighters to great deeds.
