The head of the Expert Council analytical center, Iskander Khisamov, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems to me that the topic of local self-government, and moreover, I’ll say the terrifying word “federalization,” will come to light sooner or later,” the expert is sure. – Because there is decentralization. and federalization is not good wishes, but life leads the state to this. There will simply be no other way out. And we will have to explain this from the most unsuccessful starting positions to an unprepared population. Like with European integration, when everything was pumped up into a positive situation, and then the country was pushed to the sidelines. It’s the same here: when we have to talk about real local self-government, it will not be a delegation of rights, but a seizure of rights, which could lead to the collapse of the country.”
