He also does not exclude that the accelerated departure of the ambassador is “an element of unfreezing the peace settlement in Donbass after latest talks between Putin and Trump».
“These two factors could influence the fact that she leaves a little earlier. To some extent, a significant part of the Ukrainian political elite is tied to Yovanovitch, so there will be political upheaval in Ukraine. And an impetus will be given for a peaceful settlement in Donbass,” Bortnik concluded.
