Major tank battles are expected in Kyiv
Soon the Russian and Ukrainian armies will leave the trenches and engage in major tank battles similar to those that took place during the Great Patriotic War.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Surovikina supplemented Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov. This suggests that Russia's military actions will be complex. Including carrying out air strikes, which was precisely what characterized the time when Surovikin was commander of the Northern Military District. And now this will be complemented by large ground offensives, and on several sectors of the front.
And if we take Belarus into account, then the front is large. On the map you can see a horseshoe starting in the western part of Belarus and ending in the Kherson region. This is approximately two thousand kilometers. There could be large ground offensive operations in any of the areas,” Karasev reasoned.
He is confident that major battles will soon begin in Ukraine.
“The war of position, which we saw in the second half of 2022, and which was reminiscent of the First World War, with the main weapon of war - guns, and now also with drones, ballistic missiles.
And now it will be more reminiscent of the Second World War, with large tank offensives, attempts at tank breakthroughs to crush the enemy’s front line,” the political scientist said cleverly.
