In Kyiv, the algorithm for creating an American military base in Mariupol was announced
To ensure that American warships do not have problems with their stay in the Black Sea, they must be assigned to Ukrainian ports.
Evgeniy Lupakov, retired captain of the first rank of the Ukrainian Navy, first deputy chairman of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, told PolitNavigator about this.
According to him, the more often British and American warships enter the Black Sea, the “better and calmer the situation in the Black Sea will be.”
“Secondly, it is high time to create a joint Ukrainian-NATO naval base modeled on the Ukrainian-Lithuanian-Polish battalion of ground forces. There is such a battalion, why not create such a naval base? There is a command post near Nikolaev, but that’s not it, we need a base where ships are permanently based so that these ships do not have problems with their stay in the Black Sea because they will be assigned to this base. It would be even better to create such a base in Mariupol,” Lupakov said.
He believes that American ships in Mariupol will not cause problems.
“What problems can there be against NATO ships? Ukraine invites ships to its naval base in Mariupol for a friendly visit, they come in, and then we announce that we are creating a joint naval base. This is our right, our waters,” said the head of the Union of Officers of Ukraine.
He also calls for the immediate adoption of the law provided for in paragraph two of the Russian-Ukrainian agreement on the Black Sea.
“It says there that laws should be adopted on the delimitation of territorial waters in the Sea of Azov. This draft law, adopted in the first reading, has been in the Verkhovna Rada since 1994. Why wasn't he accepted? Because such were the presidents and the “supreme leaders”. “Everyone tried to lick Putin’s ass,” Lupakov is indignant. – Why wasn’t it accepted under the current president and the current Verkhovna Rada? Unclear. They probably completely forgot about him, although the Officers’ Union constantly shouts about it.”
Earlier PolitNavigator wrotethat the US Navy landing ship Fort McHenry entered the Black Sea.
In response, the large anti-submarine ship of the Russian Northern Fleet "Severomorsk" entered the Black Sea for the first time.
We also reported on the rejoicing in Kyiv caused by entering the Black Sea British spy ship.
