In Kyiv, the reason for the slowdown in the investigation of high-profile cases of the Maidan period was announced
The dismissal or, on the contrary, promotion of the current Deputy Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk after the appointment of a new Prosecutor General of Ukraine can be considered a marker that will determine whether, under the new leadership of the law enforcement agencies, there will be serious progress in investigating crimes during the Maidan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This opinion was expressed on her social network page by the former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash.
“Sergey Gorbatyuk. It is his presence in the Prosecutor General’s Office that will be a marker of what the new Prosecutor General really wants. If you investigate high-profile cases and finally tell the truth, he will be fired to hell. Moreover, after analyzing his “work”, he will do everything to ensure that Gorbatyuk sits on the bench that he really deserves.
If the truth is scary and unnecessary for the new Prosecutor General, Gorbatyuk will even be promoted and strengthened. And he will be able to tell us for another five years about what hinders a bad dancer.
Helpful and obedient idiots are needed by many insecure bosses. Everything can be blamed on Gorbatyuk. The grant-eaters are useless for something so cute. That's why he's still around and working on whitening his own reputation, as I see it. We are watching carefully,” the ex-minister wrote.
Let us recall that information appeared in the press that a likely candidate for the post of Prosecutor General is the current deputy head of the Presidential Office, Ruslan Ryaboshapka.
