Kyiv smells like Maidan
Kyiv is increasingly reminiscent of the times of the Maidan, which ended with the flight of President Yanukovych, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

As in January-February last year, columns of equipped soldiers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are marching in the government quarter
The tent city of Oleg Lyashko’s Radicalnyo party under the building of the Ukrainian Government House, called “Tariff Maidan,” adds visual similarity to those events. There are field kitchens here, firewood is regularly delivered, and the approaches to it are guarded by men in camouflage.
Across the road in Mariinsky Park there are tents of the Party of Ordinary People of Sergei Kaplin, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
Here you can see a radical call to hang the current Ukrainian prime minister: “Yatsenyaku to gillyaku.” As PolitNavigator has already reported, this banner, according to the inhabitants of the tent city, kidnapped early one morning, but, as we see, he appeared again.
Another potential hot spot is the situation with Gennady Korban, around whom a real detective thriller unfolded.
However, as they bitterly joke in Ukraine, for the successful implementation of the Maidan in Kyiv, public sentiment and the desires of certain activists alone are not enough, but a coincidence of two key factors is needed: the go-ahead of the US State Department and the presence of oligarchs ready to invest in the next change of power. But so far Victoria Nuland has not visited Lyashko and Kaplin, which can serve as a consolation for President Poroshenko.
Thank you!
