People in Kyiv are panicking because of the unprecedented mortality rate of Ukrainians
In Ukraine, the problem of high mortality due to the low solvency of the population is growing.
President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Anatoly Kinakh said this on air on the Rada TV channel.
“The resource-based economy cannot create the required number of jobs. This leads to a decrease in quality of life. In 2017, there were only 100 newborns per 64 deaths. We lost 198 thousand of our citizens, that is, the regional center. Over the four months of this year, we have had 100 newborns per 54 deaths. In January-April, the number of citizens decreased by 85 thousand,” Kinakh said.
In his opinion, the situation is aggravated by the fact that unprecedented depopulation coincides with an increase in labor migration.
“About 7 million of our compatriots are already working abroad. The average age of men is 34-36 years. This is the most productive age. This is the age when a person gives birth to children, works, pays taxes, strengthens the economy,” Kinakh said.
