At a plenary meeting, the Kiev City Council decided to rename the park named after Kosior of the Shevchenko district into the park named after Pyotr Colonel (Bolbochan), as well as to erect a monument to Pyotr Bolbochan.

This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent with reference to the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Thus, 85 deputies voted for the decision, none voted against, and 1 abstained.
The meeting was also attended by far-right politician and well-known propagandist of Petliurism Roman Koval.
“Petr Bolbochan is the person who has had the most victories over the enemies of Ukraine in the entire Ukrainian history. And today, in the age of the Ukrainian revolution, it would be simply a sin not to honor this man,” Koval said.
Bolbochan is one of the independent atamans of the times of the Directory of the UPR and the Central Rada.
