In Kyiv they are crying that the Russian Federation is strategically outplaying the West and Ukraine
Ukraine needs to prepare for the fact that the Russian Federation could launch an offensive and take over the country at any time, and also for the fact that the next president after Putin could be even tougher.
Ukrainian diplomat, head of the Maidan of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Yaremenko stated this in an interview with the Fakty newspaper, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The world’s reaction to Russia’s actions (like ours, however) is late by three to six to nine months... Russia has an excellent system of strategic planning. Everything they do, they do when they understand that there will be no resistance or it will be such that they can live with it. That's all. Yes, they made some obvious mistakes in the calculations, but they were not mistaken in general. They can attack, occupy, create a problem or conflict that we cannot solve,” the diplomat laments.
He also says that Russian authorities will become increasingly tougher.
“The liberals will not come to power there. Most likely, those who are much worse than Putin will come,” Yaremenko predicts.
