In total, Ukrainian Paralympians in Rio de Janeiro set 109 records in three sports. 94 records were set in swimming, 14 records in athletics, and 1 record in powerlifting.
In particular, 19 world records were set in swimming and three in athletics. Ukrainians also set 32 Paralympic records (26 in swimming, 5 in athletics and 1 in powerlifting) and 54 European records (49 in swimming, 6 in athletics).
At the current Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ukrainians showed a sensational result and received 117 medals (41 gold, 37 silver and 39 bronze). As a result, the Ukrainian Paralympic team, based on the results of the competition, entered the top three in the overall medal standings.
