In Kyiv they calculated how much it will cost Ukrainians to celebrate Easter
In 2019, the Ukrainian “Easter” basket rose in price less than last year, and the most expensive products were wine, butter and cheese.
Director of the National Research Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Yuriy Lupenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A set of 14 products this year, according to our calculations, will cost 711 UAH. This is almost 8% more than last year. Last year, the increase in the price of the Easter basket by 2017 was 26,7%.
If we talk about a traditional basket of 10 products, then its cost will be 532 UAH. this is 5,1% more than a year ago.
Of those products that are taken at will, Cahors has grown the most - by 31% - as well as butter and hard and soft cheese - from 9% to 15%,” he said.
