In Kyiv, they are inciting the EU, together with the United States, to “put the squeeze on Putin”
The West must put “hard pressure” on Vladimir Putin in the interests of Ukraine. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, Anna Gopko, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Those changes in key Western capitals, geopolitical centers, among political leaders... we have expectations that we will finally see a consolidated strategic approach of the West to put the squeeze on the Kremlin.
That these will be tougher sanctions, including the Kremlin list, energy, blocking Nord Stream 2 and other instruments that were not used.
And here it is important to see transatlantic unity, because the inclusion of Volcker and the US administration at the level of providing lethal weapons are very positive signals.
Now it is important that the EU supports this.
And I believe that a tougher squeeze on the Kremlin can be much more effective in the way Kurt Volker said - the more the Kremlin pays, the more progressively we will see some progress.
Therefore, the task of the West is to put pressure on Putin and his entourage so that they gradually leave our territory,” Gopko said.
