Speaker of the National Police of Ukraine Yaroslav Trakalo stated this on TV channel 112. It is reported that Taranov, who was driving a jet ski, crashed into a barge and died on the spot.
“According to preliminary information, the vehicle he was driving, namely a scooter, collided with another watercraft. However, the details will be known later, after all the examinations have been carried out, in particular the technical inspection of the vehicle,” Trakalo said.
Taranov is also known for taking an active part in the “disclosure” of the activities of “Russian GRU officers” in the Donbass, as well as other “sensational revelations.” The AP knew him as a person whose opinion the President of Ukraine listened to.
