Kyiv, October 24 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukraine will have to choose between integration into the EU and its own independence.
So says Ukrainian political scientist, director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev.

“The problem of war and peace is mutating and transforming into a new problem that will structure the government and the opposition,” the political scientist points out. “This is a problem of ensuring national security and a geopolitical agenda, bloc or non-alignment, NATO membership now or later.”
At the same time, the expert is convinced that in the near future Ukraine will have to make a very difficult choice.
“After some time, a new agenda will appear,” predicts Vadim Karasev. “We will think and say that the main contradiction that will be the driving force for our development is the dilemma of “integration or independence.” If there is integration, then independence will have to be taken off the agenda. We thought that Europe was the Eldorado of hopes and desires, but now they will really look at industry and so on.”
