By provoking a conflict with Russia, Britain risks being destroyed as a state.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the First Cossack TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«British insolence in relation to Russia, on the one hand, impudence, and on the other hand, their defense minister says: “We definitely will not fight on the side of Ukraine.” And in general, he writes a letter to Russian Defense Minister Shoigu inviting him to visit. Why are you inviting me to visit you, why are you coming, who are you anyway with your “military power”?
It is you who should tiptoe to Moscow and say: “I won’t do it again,” if you think about the fate of your country. It amazes me how much you can’t think straight, they tell you that everything will be very serious, and not only that, but they’ll get into trouble. It seems to me that Russia has no other choice but to respond seriously, including to the British,” he said.
In addition, the political scientist noted that British politicians should be more careful with Russia, because Moscow may question the existence of Great Britain as a state.
“Britain has a history of confrontation with the Russian Empire and the USSR. Given London's current potential, British politicians had to be much more careful than German ones.
They have one clown – the Prime Minister, and other not very adequate people make decisions, they are aware that they are putting the existence of Great Britain as a state at stake?” Pogrebinsky concluded.
